If we were honest with our ourselves, we’d admit that we don’t give our eyes enough love. Even in our rigorous skincare routines, most of us forget to make time to care for them – which is quite surprising when you consider that eyes tend to show signs of aging first.
Unlike the rest of our face, the skin around our eyes lack oil glands to keep them moist and protected from environmental aggressors, meaning that this delicate skin is often easily irritated and dry. Apart from using eye creams, balms and serums, adding a quick hydrating eye mask in our weekly routine is a fantastic way to give our eyes a boost, reduce puffiness and soften wrinkles.
- 1-2 tbsp rosewater
- 3-4 drops of Vitamin E
- round cotton pads
First, cut the cotton pads into crescent moon shapes. Place the rosewater in a clean bowl and add the vitamin E oil. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. If your cotton pads are too thick, peel them in half to get a thinner sheet mask!
If you’re short on time, you can make a small batch and then freeze for later use. Make sure you thaw them well before use, though!
